Informational purpose

WildSOS is an information and guidance platform for people who find a wild animal in distress. The content on the site โ€” animal profiles, first aid instructions, legal guides โ€” is intended exclusively for informational and orientation purposes.

WildSOS is not a veterinary service and does not provide professional services of any kind. The information on this site does not substitute the advice of a veterinarian, an authorized wildlife rescue center (CRAS), or competent authorities.

๐Ÿฅ

Wildlife first aid

The first aid instructions in the species profiles are general emergency guidelines based on veterinary sources and guidelines from Italian rescue centers.

Every situation is different. The animal's condition, species, age, specific injuries, and environmental context may require different interventions from those described. Contacting a CRAS or the Forest Carabinieri (1515) always remains the absolute priority.

WildSOS accepts no liability for direct or indirect damages โ€” to the animal or to the person โ€” resulting from applying the site's guidance without prior professional consultation.

๐Ÿ“‹

CRAS data: accuracy and currency

The CRAS database is verified and updated periodically. However, WildSOS does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or real-time currency of information about individual centers (phone numbers, hours, species handled, addresses).

CRAS are independent organizations that may update their contacts, hours, or services at any time. In urgent situations, always verify information directly by contacting the center or calling 1515.

If you find outdated data, you can report it via the "Outdated data?" button on CRAS profile pages.

Regulations: non-professional content

Information about Italian and European wildlife legislation is provided purely for guidance and summary purposes. It does not constitute legal advice and cannot be used as such.

Environmental and hunting law is subject to frequent legislative changes and significant regional variations. For specific situations or legal questions, consult a specialist lawyer or the competent authorities (Forest Carabinieri, veterinary health authority, Provincial Police).

External links

WildSOS may contain links to third-party websites (CRAS, institutions, associations). WildSOS is not responsible for the content, availability, or privacy policies of such sites. Linking to external resources does not imply endorsement of their content.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WildSOS and its owner are not liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the site
  • Decisions made by the user based on information contained in the site
  • Service interruptions, technical errors, or data loss
  • Content of third-party sites accessible via links on the site
  • Inaccuracies or omissions in CRAS information

In case of an emergency with a wild animal: call 1515 (Forest Carabinieri) or contact the nearest CRAS directly via the map. Don't waste time searching online when the animal needs immediate help.
