WildSOS is not a veterinary service and does not provide professional services of any kind. The information on this site does not substitute the advice of a veterinarian, an authorized wildlife rescue center (CRAS), or competent authorities.
Wildlife first aid
The first aid instructions in the species profiles are general emergency guidelines based on veterinary sources and guidelines from Italian rescue centers.
Every situation is different. The animal's condition, species, age, specific injuries, and environmental context may require different interventions from those described. Contacting a CRAS or the Forest Carabinieri (1515) always remains the absolute priority.
WildSOS accepts no liability for direct or indirect damages — to the animal or to the person — resulting from applying the site's guidance without prior professional consultation.
CRAS data: accuracy and currency
The CRAS database is verified and updated periodically. However, WildSOS does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or real-time currency of information about individual centers (phone numbers, hours, species handled, addresses).
CRAS are independent organizations that may update their contacts, hours, or services at any time. In urgent situations, always verify information directly by contacting the center or calling 1515.
If you find outdated data, you can report it via the "Outdated data?" button on CRAS profile pages.

Information about Italian and European wildlife legislation is provided purely for guidance and summary purposes. It does not constitute legal advice and cannot be used as such.
Environmental and hunting law is subject to frequent legislative changes and significant regional variations. For specific situations or legal questions, consult a specialist lawyer or the competent authorities (Forest Carabinieri, veterinary health authority, Provincial Police).
